Chandana Weerakumara alias Sakvithi Ranasinghe, the alleged financial fraudster, has been sentenced to two years in prison with hard labour for bigamy, our news sources said.
Colombo high court judge Nimal Nambuwasam also imposed a Rs. 25,000 fine on Sakvithi today (Jan. 31).
Failure to pay the fine will result in Sakvithi having to serve six more months in prison.
The court has found out that he had married Kumari Anuradhini in March 2004, while already being married to Subhashini de Silva.
